Throughout the world, Sheraton Hotels are synonymous with sophisticated relaxation. In early 2012, the Sheraton Hotel in Edinburgh was treated to a complete renovation with Pinniger Lighting Design creating a tranquil and warm welcome throughout this luxurious hotel. To produce this delicate balance Pinniger specified over £100,000 of Kemps' high quality LED and cold cathode.
In total, 350m of RGB LED modules were supplied and installed by Kemps' engineers to provide stunning colour changing to the ceiling coves of the Grand Ballroom. To achieve subtle backlighting needed for this tranquil ambience, over 500m of our 2700k Korina LEDs were also supplied and installed into the 4 reception resin columns, bars, walls, ceiling coves and furniture throughout.
Our Coveline KL-CLN-E010180IP Cold Cathode was also supplied and installed within the Mirror Columns throughout the foyer area to providea subtle wash of edge lighting, all controlled via remote a Lutron 0-10v dimming system.
This large-scale project was completed in March 2012, under the guidance of our Senior Project Manager, Geoff Clarke. Whilst Geoff was keen to achieve the serenity that Sheraton Hotels are famous for, he was also keen to get everything in place before the critical deadline of the England Rugby team arriving at the Sheraton to play Scotland.
